Finally!
Once you mention to someone that you have a website, a common response you’ll get is: “Can you build me a website?”
I certainly know how to code in Objective-C, and I know that I could have figured out how to code a website from scratch in HTML. In the past, for other websites, I used Apple’s iWeb, but unfortunately a while back, they chose to phase it out. Knowing how easy a good graphical web editor makes setting up a website, I looked around for a good iWeb replacement, and found something even better.
WebAcappella is what I stumbled upon, and I’m very pleased with it. I used this software to create my Blitzfish and Vibrapixel websites with ease. It gave me easy access to important features such as SEO and automatic photo slideshows. The only part that took a bit of coding was embedding my WordPress blog into the Blitzfish homepage, which was simply a code snippet inserted into an HTML area in WebAcappella. It also has the ability to create a zipped backup file of your site, as well as restore a site from a zipped backup file in case something goes wrong.
Anyway, much of what I have learned from is public information on the internet, so I figured that I would make my methods public too for other aspiring independent game developers. Keep on trumpeting!
